Bio Force Sri Lanka plans to upgrade Maharagama hospital

Bio Force Lanka began it's operations in Sri Lanka by assisting the Maharagama Cancer Hospital to upgrade the children ward. This project will continue for another 12 months and BIOFORCE LANKA hopes to donate medicine and disposable medical equipment for the hospital. The Bio Force's Country Co-coordinator Fabien Audoin ,accompanied by Ms.Shriani Ramukwella and Amy Fernando , donated the first first batch of the equipment and medicines on Thursday at a simple ceremony , .Mr.Audoin said, the hospital, specially the Children's ward needs donors to contribute medicines on a regular basis due to the acute shortages . Bio Force is a well known ,Training Institute for Professional Training and Human resouce Management, specializing in International Aid , in France .Bioforce in association with the Chamber of Construction have already opened three training centers in Matara ,Balapitiya and Kalutara , to cater to the unemployed youth to obtain free training in the Construction Sector . The Bio Force Lanka has also upgraded the Water system in the Walasmulla hospital and plans to start the phase two by improving it's sewerage system.At present the Maharagama Cancer Hospital lacks sufficient building space to accommodate patients and the Director of the hospital Dr.Kanishka Karunaratne said his aim is to obtain corporate assistance to solve the prevailing problems."We need additional building spaces to setup a pediatric unit .We also need valuable medicine and some medical equipment, he said.Both Mr.Audoin and Amy Fernando the local coordinators of Bioforce Lanka expressed hope , that they could involve the Private sectors both in France and Sri Lanka to participate in bringing tangible aid to this and other Hospitals .
