Air Strike on Sea Tiger Base; 10 cadres killed

Air Force pounded on the Sea Tiger base located in Kilinochchi West in Kiranchi using fighter jet aircraft. consequently naval intelligence sources revealed that it was a women’s Sea Tiger training camp and that ten terrorists including two top level female cadres.
Air Force has also pounded camp of the Mannar area LTTE leader yesterday. The Media Centre for National Security says the pilots have confirmed that the target was successfully engaged. The Camp was located five kilometres North of Yoda Weva in Parappukkadantan in Mannar.
Meanwhile, police in Seru Nuwara has recovered a haul of weapons and equipments buried in Kalladi area in Trincomalee. Five and half kilogramme high explosives, three suicide jackets and 500 rounds of T-56 ammunitions were among them.
