India extends investment oppotunities in Sri Lanka

India is to extend its investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.
Minister Sarath Amunugama held talks in this connection with the visiting Indian trade and industry minister Jeyaram Ramesh.
The Indian Minister has accompanied a high-level business delegation. During the meeting minister Amunugama pointed out that the trade deficit between the two countries has reduced to 5 to 1. Earlier its stood at ten to one.
The minister also commended India’s support to boost technical education in Sri Lanka. Indian minister Jeyaram said an economic cooperation agreement will be signed between the two countries before the SAARC summit to be held in Sri Lanka in July this year.
