Ministry of education issues new advices on School’s sports events

The Secretary to the Ministry of Education has issued a series of advice to principals regarding the participation of school children in sports tournaments.
The principals are advised to organize sports events avoiding large gatherings of school children. Events should be held to select children who are talented in sports without displaying drills, marching parades and school bands.
Assistance of the police station in the area should be obtained to provide security for sports tournaments. This set of advices should be applicable for house-meets, inter-school and zonal sport meets. The education secretary also advised principals not to hold all types of sports tournaments organized by school sport’s associations until further notice.
