President appoints Dixon Dela as the Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has named Dixon Sarathchandra Dela the father of Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara as the new Governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province ending weeks of debates over the appointment.
The post of the Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province fell vacant following the nomination of Governor Reggie Ranatunga to fill the position left behind by the accidental death of MP Sripathi Sooriaratchchi.
Mr. Dixon Dela is a well known businessman and a social worker from Ratnapura.
