The United States strongly condemns the recent bomb attacks including the suicide bomb attack at the Fort Railway station yesterday.
The US says that all the attacks are clearly targeted innocent civilians to foster an atmosphere of fear prior to the Sri Lanka’s independence day celebration.
The US embassy issuing a communiqué appealed to all parties to the conflict to take every possible measures to avoid killing or injuring civilians. The US also offers its condolences to the victims and their families.

Isn't it possible that the Sri Lankan government itself is probably involved in these suicide bombings. The rebels have no reason to kill priest who are condemning the government against human rights violations.
The GOSL has every reason to kill any advocate of human rights, which they have been doing.
Here are some more reasons. There is increasing pressure on the government to abandon the war and seek a political solution from US, EU, India and around the world.
The goverment is increasing been preceived as terrorising its own citizens, in a maniacal quest to rid itself of terrorism.
Unfortunately, the war against terror has made the Sri Lankan government the biggest terrorists in Sri Lanka.
