14 terrorists killed in confrontations and stock of anti- personnel mines recovered

 
In two confrontations with LTTE terrorists between 9.00 in the morning and 12.10 in the afternoon in SOUTH EAST of MADU area in VAVUNIYA on Saturday (22) two LTTE terrorists were killed while in the same area around 4.35 in the evening two more terrorists were reported killed during confrontations.

Meanwhile, ten (10) LTTE terrorists were killed during confrontations in the KALLIKULAM area, VAVUNIYA on Saturday (22) in the morning at 8.10 and in the afternoon around 3.55 . In the search operations conducted after the attack on the LTTE terrorists in the area, Troops recovered a stock of Improvised Explosive Devices and "booby" traps .
