5,000 addition policemen will deploy for election

DIG in charge of election activities Gamini Navaratne says an environment conducive to hold a free and fair election persists in the Batticaloa district.
Election propaganda for the local government election of the district ends at midnight tomorrow.
The election will be held on Monday. The DIG said 5,000 addition policemen have been deployed for election related security measures. He said since the handing over of nominations a peaceful environment has prevailed in all 9 local government areas.
