All arrangement have been made to strengthen security in the Batticaloa district

Senior DIG Gamini Navaratne says all arrangement have been made to strengthen security in the Batticaloa district especially on Monday, the day of the holding local government elections, and also during several days thereafter.
Five thousand police personnel will be on duty on the election day.
All election propaganda ends at midnight on Friday.
The DIG also said no serious incidents have been reported from the district so far.
