Be vigilant in purchasing drugs from sales outlets

 

The ministry of Trade cautions the general public to be vigilant in purchasing drugs from private sales outlets. The ministry has received information that inferior and inappropriate medicine are being sold through out the island.

Managing director of the state pharmaceutical corporation professor K.U.Kamalgoda says the general public should buy their drugs only from Osusala or recognized sales centres.
The SPC currently maintains 21 osusalas and 120 dealers’ sales centres. The corporation constantly examines the samples in the shipping as well as importation and distribution of drugs.
