CPJ worried over deteriorating media situation in SL

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has written to President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressing its concern over manner state is intimidating media in Sri Lanka. While requesting President to ‘vigorously investigate’ reported attacks on journalists and also Rupavahini staff, it has said unsupported terrorist accusations threaten the security and livelihood of Tamil journalists here.
