Emergency passed

The proposal to extend the emergency regulation by another month was passed in parliament by a majority of 88 votes. 102 votes were received in favour of the proposal and 14 against it. The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna voted for the proposal along with the ruling party. TNA voted against the proposal. MPs of the United National Party were absent in the House during the voting.
