Five terrorists killed, strong point captured by Troops in Welioya.

The Army launched an attack on a LTTE strong point in the North of JANAKAPURA area, WELIOYA on Wednesday (26) killing five terrorists while two soldiers were also reported injured in the attack.
Five terrorist bodies as well as weapons were recovered by Troops in the search operation after the incident.

A large stock of anti personnel bombs and "booby" traps were recovered by Troops in a search operation conducted on Wednesday (26) in the KALADIMODAI AREA in the CHEDDIKULAM and MARIKATTIDAL area, MANNAR, between 6.00 in the morning and 6.00 in the evening.

A soldier was reported injured at KOILAMODDAI, MANNAR, on Wednesday (26) in the afternoon at 12.05.Meanwhile, two (02) terrorists were also killed in a confrontation in the MADHU Camp area on Wednesday (26) morning at 10.45 while a soldier was reported injured in the ADAMPAN area, MANNAR on the same day (26) in the morning at 10.10.
