A hand grenade found in a school bus

 

A tip off from a civilian to the 119 instant call centre a hand grenade was found by the KAHAWATTA Police, in a school bus (60-1143) parked near the Gankanda Central College PALMADULLA. The Hand Grenade was rapped by a paper and kept under a seat of a private school bus. The bus and the driver were arrested by the Police.

Four civilians surrender to the Army
Four Tamil civilians were surrendered to the army in PESALAI area. These civilians were from WEDITHALATHIEVE uncleared area. The civilians who surrendered were family members, including Father, Mother, Daughter and son. The two children are between 20-22 years of age.

This family has suffered many unbearable conditions and harassments by the terrorists in the un- cleared areas.

In another situation in NAVATKULAM area VAVUNIYA two LTTE terrorists were killed due to troops attack.
