Jaffna is now normal -GA

Government Agent of Jaffna K. Ganesh says the administrative and business activities in the peninsula have returned to normal.
No abduction has been reported during the last couple of months. The GA added neither he nor the security forces had received any complain regarding violation of human rights. Stocks of food items required for the usage of people in the peninsula are now being received.
The private sector has given its maximum cooperation to transport and distribute essential commodities. Speaking to SLBC the GA further disclosed activities in all government institutions are being carried out normally.

Meanwhile, facilities have also been provided for the fishermen to carryout their activities properly. After discussions with the security forces a special programme has been implemented in this regard. Mr. Ganesh further added people in the Jaffna peninsula are not migrating to other areas because the security has also been strengthened in the area.
