Liberation operations in the Wanni successfully continues

The Ministry of Defence says liberation operations in the Wanni successfully continues inflicting heavy damages to the LTTE.
It said the military reports received from the battlefronts in the North indicates that the security forces are moving towards LTTE territory in the military operation launched to liberate the Wanni region.
The ministry said troops successfully faced confrontations in general areas Karappalikulam, Udayanatankulam, Venkalacchedkulam and Umayaratuwarankulam in Vavuniya. In addition large hauls of weapons left behind by fleeing terrorists have been recovered.
