Maheswaran killing suspects re-remanded

The Two suspects arrested in connection with the assassination of UNP Parliamentarian T. Maheswaran were yesterday produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Ravindra Premaratne and re-remanded till April 3.
The suspects named Valentino and Sudarshan were produced by the Colombo Crimes Division.
Earlier, three suspects, including a woman, who were taken into custody were released.
According to reports before Courts, the blood stain samples retrieved from the scene of the incident, a Kovil in Kotahena and the blood stains found on the revolver were identical.
The MP, a shipping magnate was shot at the Kovil allegedly by an LTTE hit man.
