Mangala’s mother passes away -Funeral on Monday

Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera’s mother has passed away at a private hospital in Colombo today , after a prolonged illness.She was 79 at the time of her death.The late Mrs. Khema Samaraweera was the wife of former minister Mahanama Samaraweera.She was also a member of the Matara Urban Council in 1950 as well as from 1990-1997.During Managala Samaraweera’s tenure as a minister, she was his shadow by being his private secretary.The funeral will be held at 3.00 p.m. on Mar. 24th in Matara.
