11 terrorists killed, 18 wounded in clashes erupted - Mannar front

LTTE terrorists suffered heavy losses in a fresh attack launched by the security forces in Mannar front early this morning, April 30.
According to an initial report reached from Mannar, clashes erupted when the troops deployed in general areas Parayakulam, Karukkakulam and Kattankulam were advancing towards LTTE defence line around 5.15 am, the report stated. Troops were also backed by artillery fire, the report further said.
By intercepting LTTE radio communication, it is learnt that 11 terrorists were killed while 18 suffered injuries due to this clashes. The initial report further stated that 4 army soldiers also received injuries. The clashes are still going on.
