13 terrorists killed & 3 injured, six bunkers captured and explosive devices/ equipment

recovered by the Army Thirteen LTTE terrorists were killed and three were injured when six terrorist bunkers were captured by the Army when Troops launched continuous attacks targeting LTTE terrorist bunkers in the MANIPULIKULAM, KANTHANKULAM and KADDAIKULAM areas, in MANNAR on Friday (18).
During the heavy fighting, five terrorist bunkers were captured in the MANIPULIKULAM area while another terrorist bunker was captured in the area of KANTHANKULAM.
A soldier was also reported injured in the confrontations.
Sophisticated Communication equipment and explosive devices were recovered during search operations conducted by Troops after the confrontations.
