3 journalists vacated the country on death threats

(Lanka-e-news, ) Up to now, 3 senior journalists of National Television have migrated seeking refugee protection due to continuous death threats.
Three of them are M/s. Darshana Panangala, Waruna Lelwala and Chinthaka Anurudda who were producers of programs at National Television.
After Dr. Mervyn Silva, Minister of Labour with a gang of underworld thugs and drug dealers entered SLRC by force and assaulted it's News Director, Mr.Lal Hemantha Mawalage - Senior producer, Ms. Ranjani Aluthge - Librarian and Mr. Arunasiri Hettige - producer of programs were attacked by thugs. Mr. Hettige was heavily injured and almost lost his life as his neck was brutally wounded by a sharp weapon.
