Bhaila is to attend Doha forum

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein A Bhaila, who was in Doha, Qatar, to attend the 08th Doha Forum on Democracy, Development and Free Trade, met Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud.
He thanked the Qatari government for the support rendered to Sri Lanka’s candidature of the UN Human Rights Council. The release further says the deputy minister also briefed the state minister on the current situation in Sri Lanka and the government’s development efforts in the east and on the forthcoming election to the eastern provincial council.
