Department of Prisons conducts an extensive investigations on yesterday's incident

Extensive investigations are being conducted into the attempted escape of prisoners at the Kuruvita Prison.
Five inmates were killed when prison officials fired upon a group of detainees, who attempted to flee, whilst being escorted to the prison after appearing at the Courts.
