Iranians arrested in TN suspected for training LTTE

Two Iranians arrived at Arichalmunai seashore along with a group of 12 Sri Lankan Tamil Refugees in Rameswaram on Thursday.
Official sources said that the refugees were dropped by a clandestine boat operator at the fifth isle off Mandapam Coast, fearing Indian Coast Guard (ICG). However, the stranded Sri Lankans and Iranians were taken to Arichalmunai seashore by an Indian fishing trawler.TN Police suspected that the Arabic-speaking Iranians could be experts in making or providing training in lethal weapons and might have served in the LTTE camps in Sri Lanka.
