JVP says develution of power cannot provide a solution for the national problem
The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna says a solution to the national problem in Sri Lanka could not be found through devolution of power.
The position of the party is that the problem could be resolved only by establishing democracy through provision of rights of Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim communities based on equality.
JVP parliamentarian Vijitha Herath at a media briefing in Colombo today said that any solution to the national issue should be presented through the concept of a unitary state.
