posted by Editor at

JVP General Secretary Tyliwin Silva says the Central Committee of the JVP will take a decision regarding Wimal Weerawansa soon.
He said at the moment Weerawansa is the Propaganda Secretary of the party and the member of the politbureau. But during last few days weerawansa acted his own.
After the first week of the March Weerawansa has not attended party's main political meetings .Tylwin Silva said Weerawansa must appear before the party and sortout the problem instead of using media.
In yesterday Weerawansa gave a deadline the party to react his proposal to end the conflict before 1st of May. He said if the party does not react he will take a political decison and form a new patriotic front.

Addressing further he said ill effects of the open economic policies implemented in the country has been a major cause for the escalation of food prices.
He said the UNP and the present government are responsible to this situation. He added that the dismantling of the state apparatus for manufacture, distribution and sales of essential commodities during the UNP regime has restricted the peoples’ right to receive these items.
