PM visits to meet injured soliders
posted by Editor at 10:07 AMPrime Minister Rathnasiri Wickremanayake has personally looked into the welfare of members of the armed forces and the police who are receiving treatment at the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital after being injured in recent confrontations in Jaffna, Muhamale and Kilali.
He visited the wards today and gave directions to provide all facilities needed to the war heroes. The hospital authorities said all soldiers are receiving facilities provided at paying wards. Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva accompanied the premier during the visit.
According to our sources Leaders of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and the Patriotic National Movement visited Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital this afternoon (Apr. 24th) and inquired into the wellbeing of the soldiers who were injured in the northern battlefront who are receiving treatment there.
Ven. Dambara Amila Thera and popular singer Senanayake Weraliyadde of the PNM accompanied JVP MPs Vijitha Herath, Jayantha Wijesekara and Sunil Handunnetti in the visit.
