Political parties contesting forthcoming EPC will start their election propaganda

All political parties and independent groups contesting forthcoming eastern provincial council will start their election propaganda activities under different themes. Special discussion in this regard are being held now. Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva says United People’s Freedom Alliance will contest under the theme of reawakening eastern province which was brought under government forces sometime back. UPFA has started its propaganda activities by visiting house to house. This time the May Day rally of UPFA will be held in Ampara district.
Meanwhile the United National Party is making their propaganda activities taking the grievances, need of the people in eastern province. Accordingly UNP has planned to have many election rallies in the respected areas.
A spokesman for JVP said that their party will contest the forthcoming eastern provincial council election under the theme of defeating separatism.
