Postal ballot papers of the eastern provincial council election will be mailed

The assistant election commissioners say postal ballot papers of the eastern provincial council election will be mailed to certifying officials from tomorrow. Nearly 22000 persons have applied for postal voting to be conducted on the 28th and 29th of this months.
Distribution of official poll cards will start on next Monday. Special arrangements have been made to distribute the cards till the 2nd of next month.
The eastern provincial council election will be conducted on the 10th of next month. 35 political parties and 75 independent groups compete in the election.
