Rs.40million worth moonshine/arrack seized for Avurudu

The Excise Department seized Rs.40million worth illicit liquor and authorised liquor sans permits from raids conducted countrywide during the special detection week held targeting the Sinhala & Tamil New Year 2008. Also 1904 persons were arrested for the violation of Excise Laws.
