Seven (07) terrorists killed in Vavuniya

During Sunday (27), seven terrorist were killed in confrontations and many more were also injured while two soldiers were killed and a few were injured due to anti - personnel mine explosions and mortar fire.
Two soldiers were reported injured in SINNAVALAYAKADU area, VAVUNIYA due to LTTE terrorist mortar fire on Sunday (27) at 8.45 in the morning. Two terrorists were also reported killed during a confrontation with Troops on the same day in the morning around 10.30 in the KALLIKULAM area, MANNAR.
One soldier was reported killed and two were injured due to an anti - personnel mine explosion in NIVIL area in the morning at 11.20 on the same day (27).
Meanwhile in the afternoon a terrorist was reported killed during a confrontation with Troops in the SINNAWALAYAKADU area, VAVUNIYA on Sunday (27) around 12.30 while a soldier was reported injured around 12.45 in the MADHU area, due to the explosion of an anti - personnel mine. A soldier was also killed by a anti - personnel mine explosion in the VEDAMKILLUM area at 4.00 in the evening while four terrorists were also killed in confrontations on Sunday (27) in PALAMPIDDI area.
