Special security for the post offices in the eastern province.

Special security has been provided for the post offices in the eastern province. The additional election commissioners of Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Ampara districts say they had requested the police to provide security till the postal ballot papers and official poll cards are distributed.

The postal ballot papers are now being handed over to post offices to send them to relevant centers. The postal voting of the eastern provincial council election will be held on 28th and 29th of this month.
