Sri Lankans in Canada pans to obtain a court order to stop LTTE activities

A group of Sri Lankans living in Canada has submitted a petition to the Canadian government seeking action to stop LTTE activities in that country. More than 1000 persons have signed the petition urging the Canadian authorities to stop fund raising carried out by the LTTE. The Sri Lankan High Commission in Canada says the petition is to be submitted to the Canadian parliament for necessary action.
