Wanni liberation on progress; 11 terrorists killed in yesterday's clashes

On Jaffna theatre of battle, troops launched an attack targeting LTTE gun position in general area Nagarkovil. Troops confirmed that at least 4 terrorists were either killed or wounded in this attack.
Meanwhile, security forces personnel launched a fresh attack at LTTE bunker defence in general area Muhamalai and troops confirmed at least 4 LTTE terrorists were either killed or wounded in this attack.
On Wanni theatre of battle, in Vavuniya front, troops observed a movement of a group of LTTE terrorists and attacked them killing 2 LTTE cadres in general area Vedamakulam. In a separate confrontation took place in Vinayakankulam, troops confirmed 2 terrorists were killed.
In Mannar front, army snipers deployed in Adampan and Thirukethiswaram areas have gunned down 4 LTTE cadres, the report received from the forefront indicated.
In Welioya front, troops confronted with a group of LTTE terrorists in general area north of Janakapura around 10.15 a.m yesterday. Two LTTE terrorists were either killed or wounded in this attack. In the same area 2 terrorists were killed while 2 others suffered injuries in a separate confrontation took place around 5.25 p.m. yesterday. One soldier also received injuries in this incident. An LTTE cadre was killed in a separate confrontation took place in the same area around 3.10 p.m. Meanwhile, 2 army soldiers received injuries in a clash sparked in general area north of Janakapura, the report further stated.
Two LTTE cadres were wounded when the troops ambushed a group of LTTE terrorists in general area Kiriibbabwewa. Meanwhile, 3 terrorists were either killed or wounded in a separate clash took place around 11.50 a.m, the report further said.

These items were left away by the terrorists when the troops launched effective fire at them. Ground troops confirmed that two terrorists were either killed or wounded in this clash.
