Yaldevi express train gets new look

Nine railway compartments imported from China have been added to the Yaldevi express train. The new compartments were added to the train after 20 years.
This train operating in the northern section of the main railway line transports more than thousands passengers daily.
Transport Minister Dalas Alahapperuma says the move has helped to minimize the inconveniences caused to the people when traveling on this train. The imported compartments were also added to the Ruhunu Kumari, Muthu Kumari, Sagarika and Mahawa Express trains. The government spent 3 billion rupees to purchase these compartments from China.
