May UNP+SLMC boycott EPC inagural session ?

General Secretary of the UNP Tissa Attanayake says the selected UNP candidates of the Eastern Provincial Council will take oaths withing next few days .Replying media he said the UNP and the SLMC would decide their presence to the inagural sessions of the EPC.However unconfirmed reports of the SLMC said oppostion may be boycott the inagural meeting of the EPC .
The sources said the Government has failed to stand by its promises made at the recent Eastern provincial Council (EPC) elections to bring peace and prosperity to the people of the East.Due to this the SLMC is considering boycotting the inaugural sittings of the EPC.
The entire Eastern province is in turmoil and serious unrest after the elections with the Government. also unable to bring the situation under control.
Meanhile SLMC's spokesman Nizam Kariapper said there had been several attacks on Muslim civilians.

The inagural sessions of the EPC would be held on 6th June .After 20 years the public representatives will admit the administration of the Eastern province.
