New political parties before EC

The election secretariat says several new political parties have applied for registration.
A spokesman of the secretariat said the applications for registration will be examined by Commissioner of Elections Dayananda Dissanayake in the next few days.

Special attention will be focused on the colour and symbols. There are 58 registered political parties in Sri Lanka.
