Anakarli, Duminda dispute ends in cop shop
posted by Editor at 8:39 AMAn argument between Popular actress Anarkali Akarsha and dissident UNP Provincial Councillor Duminda de Silva at the Cinnamon Grand ended in her mother calling police emergency fearing for the safety of her daughter.
They were taken to the Kollupitiya Police station where the OIC intervened to settle the dispute.
The OIC said that he had warned de Silva and reconciled the two parties.
However, Anarkali when contacted said she had consulted her lawyers and was contemplating legal action. She said that she had had an intimate relationship with de Silva for three months but finally decided to part Company last Saturday (13).
She had come out yesterday with her mother, after leaving JAIC Hilton, where she had been staying for three months, Anarkali said.
De Silva had met her at Elibank Road and she had agreed to meet him at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel under duress after a heated argument, she said.
At the hotel while Anarkali and De Silva were engaged in a discussion, her mother called the police.
