Claymore mine uncovered - Colombo

A claymore mine weighing of 6Kg was found while clearing the canal near the R. PREMADASA Cricket Stadium at Maligawatta in Colombo this afternoon, June 21.

A group of UDA (Urban Development Authority) employees who were clearing the canal detected the claymore mine and brought it to the notice of the Police.

It was later defused by the Bomb Disposal unit.
