Government recruits ex-military men to protect the state transport

security officers who had military training in the government forces.
These officials will assist security of commuters who use state transport services. This measure aims at preventing terrorist attacks targeting civilians and school children.
According to a spokesman of the local transport ministry nearly 190 security officers have been recruited to the Sri Lanka Transport Board
