Horns blare, Police busy writing down numbers

The UNP protest against high cost of living kicked off at the Lipton Circus moments ago. Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and SLMC Leader Rauff Hakeem were present at the protest. According to sources the traffic is considerably conjested and police were seen writing down the numbers of the vehicles participating in the protest.
Meanmwhile Colombo Magistrate today rejected an application put forward by the Welikada Police against the UNP protest against the rising cost of living slotted to take place at noon today.
