JHU accuses UNP of having Pillayan Group

The Jathika Hela Urumaya has accused the UNP of having betrayed the TMVP, or Pillayan Group, by revealing locations of the camps of the party that has recently renounced arms and entered the democratic mainstream.
JHU spokesman Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe said that his party strongly condemned this action of the UNP, and challenged the main opposition to similarly publicize the whereabouts of the LTTE camps.

According to him, the UNP was trying to avoid the polls for the North Central Provincial Council by using the reported location of 12 camps of the Pillayan Group in Polonnaruwa as an excuse.

The JHU spokesman added that the UNP should use the opportunity to test the southern public's opinion, without challenging the dissolution and the forthcoming polls for the North Central and Sabaragamuwa Provincial Councils.
