JVP protests unbearable commodity prices

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna organized a protest in Nugegoda town today (June 04th) against the government for increasing commodity prices to unbearable levels.
Carrying placards and shouting slogans, the protestors urged the present regime to reduce the cabinet, minimize rampant wastage, bribery and corruption and provide concessions to the people.
JVP MP for Colombo Sunil Handunnetti led the protest, which was attended by more than 1,000 local government representatives and supporters of the party.
