Local medical team visits Myanmar
posted by Editor at 11:09 AMA medical team has been dispatched from Sri Lanka to assist measures in Myanmar to prevent its cyclone victims from succumbing to epidemics.
According to the ministry of health the team left for Myanmar on Wednesday on a request made by the Myanmar Ambassador in Sri Lanka.
In addition the ministry will also provide medical equipment and medicine worth 30 million rupees to the cyclone victims. The Sri Lankan medical team will engage in treating victims in remote areas for period of two weeks.
