MI 24 Helicopter Gunships pound terror bunker line - Periyamadhu

Sri Lanka Air Force flew close air support missions to ground troops moving ahead on the Vavuniya battlefront this morning (June 3).
According to the Air Force sources, MI 24 helicopter gunships attacked an established LTTE bunker line in the Periyamadhu area around 7 am. The sorties were carried out to assists the soldiers of army 57 divisions. The mission was successful, the sources added.
Counter terror offensives are being continued.
