Minister’s vehicle seized near tuition class

Wellawatte police said an unidentified person had seized the official vehicle of Irrigation Minister of non-cabinet rank Jayatissa after threatening his driver. A senior police official said the driver had dropped the minister’s children at a tuition class in the Wellawatte police area and was waiting for them to come back when the incident took place. Police subsequently found the vehicle in the Peliyagoda police area.
