NDRS will compensate flood victims

The National Disaster Relief Service of Sri Lanka says compensation will be paid for the dead and the houses damaged by the floods. 15 thousand rupees will be given for a dead person.
It is reported that 15 persons have been killed due to the landslides and floods.
Director of the Disaster Center N.D.K. Hettiarachch said fifty thousand rupees will given for a damaged house.

He disclosed all the district secretariats have been instructed to submit a complete report on damaged houses. According to the initial report 600 houses have been completely damaged.
The number of families that were affected by Tuesday morning were 66 thousand 372. The government has allocated 23 million rupees.
