Nominations called

Nominations for the Sabaragamuwa and North central Provincial Council elections will be accepted from June 30 to July 7, informed sources revealed.
The gazette notification announcing the nomination will be made next Monday (16) by the Election Chief Dayananda Dissanayake, sources said.

On Monday, the two Councils were dissolved, three months prior to the end of each council’s terms. At these elections 22 Councilors would be elected to the North Central Provincial Council and 29 to the Sabaragamuwa PC.
