President says enough

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed IGP Victor Perera to ensure the police do not use any kind of force to disperse street protests by monks or students. The instructions come in the wake of the police using teargas and water to breakup a protest staged by a group of monks who yesterday sought a meeting with the President to seek redress to some of their issues.
