Ranil is only trying to save Democracy, economy and people of the country says Laxman Kiriella

UNP Parliamenrtarian Lakshman Kiriella,said, in the past few months, the pro Government Media and its Defence website are engaged in a vicious and concerted campaign aimed at disparaging and derogating the UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and the party, alleging that he is campaigning against the Government to stop International aid and GSP + concessions.
It is the President, Mahinda Rajapakse when he was in the Opposition who had problems at the Bandaranaike International Airport when he tried to smuggle documents denigrating the Govt. at that time trying to take them across and tarnish the Govt.’s image abroad. These Documents were impounded, although he was allowed to proceed to Geneva. He added.
It is an irony that this same Rajapakse when in the Opposition who screamed at that time, that he will go to Geneva and even to hell to seek solutions to human rights violations allegedly of the Government at that time,who is now carrying out the worst human rights violations creating putrid records in that area., and the mudslinging campaign against the UNP .
The Opposition Leader Wickremesinghe is only concerned about the country, democracy economy and the people. Let the Govt. be reminded that it is Wickemesinghe’s painstaking efforts when he was the Prime Minister that secured the GSP + concessions for Sri Lanka. By that, there was an export and economic boom for the country, leave alone the lakh of job opportunities which were generated.
Does the Government expect Wickremesinghe and the UNP to stand idle and watch this Government make a hash of this scheme , bungle the economy and jeopardize the jobs of one lakh employees ,., particularly when the Exporters and the workers are clamouring for him to remedy the situation created by Government’s rash undoing . ? He asked.
